Ju-Ju House was an African art emporium located at 1 Ransom Court in Harlem. It was run by a Kenyan immigrant named Silas N'Kwane.
Seemingly benign from the outside, Ju-Ju House held a dark secret in the basement beneath the shop’s main floor. A hidden trap door led to a set of stairs, which gave way to a large room far below street level. At one end of this room, whose walls were covered in obscure cult symbols, lay a large circular pit covered by a thick black stone. A low moan or wail of unknown source could be heard from within. The other end of the room saw an alcove covered by a curtain. Within were several disfigured undead sentries poised and ready to attack any intruders.
Ju-Ju House burned to the ground on the night of January 18th, 1925.
