The Chakota was composed of dozens of human faces set into a thickly cylindrical, worm-like mass of sickly, purple-veined muscle. The faces wept, shouted, and cried out with a great, woeful feeling. The Chakota was somewhat mobile but could not escape the pit it was kept in. It was about 8 feet high and 6 feet in diameter.
The faces of the Chakota were those of its victims. Each new victim’s face appeared about two hours after ingestion. There was no significant limit to the number of victims the thing could claim, for its bulk could constantly grow.
