BORN 1889 • DIED 1921
Larkin came from a moderately wealthy colonial family in Kenya. His father and grandfather made their fortunes building railways, but he failed to follow in their footsteps and was seen as a wastrel by his relatives.
Larkin still received a regular allowance from his family, which he used to fund his travels, but he was no longer in regular contact with any of them.
While in search of a lost pyramid deep in the highlands of Peru, Larkin was overcome by an unknown yet powerful force that turned his eyes black and gave his voice the timbre of a man possessed. He did not survive the ordeal.
