As the nephew of Mickey Mahoney, young Albert was well-versed in the field of strange investigations. Eager to prove his worth at his uncle’s tabloid paper, The Scoop, Albert frequently hung around the office and absorbed everything he could about the newspaper business.

While not a steadfast believer in the wild stories printed in The Scoop, Albert nevertheless enjoyed the eccentric characters he got to meet and reveled in their odd stories.
